OUR STORY
Meet Chris and Tina
Chris and Tina first met in 2008 while working together at a wellness centre & spa in Whistler, BC (Chris as a Registered Acupuncturist and Tina as the Head Aesthetician). Their shared experience in the wellness industry allowed them to connect deeply, understanding each other's work ethic, passion and goals which has helped them to be able to work together both professionally and personally through out the years.
Fast forward to today, Chris and Tina are happily married with 4 beautiful daughters who are their inspiration and the foundation of how AMIA was created.
When the opportunity to start a wellness business arrived, coming up with a name was a a bit of a challenge. Nothing was feeling right until they decided to try using their daughter's names as inspiration, Avalon, Mary, Isla and Aubrey: AMIA.
There are many definitions and meaning to the name Amia, "friend", "boundless" and "limitless" were all words that spoke to us, believing that our ability to heal has no limits and the possibilities are boundless. And so AMIA Wellness was born.
Chris and Tina's mutual respect and trust, cultivated from their time working together, have laid the foundation for a thriving wellness business and combined their individual strengths, Chris bringing the skill, talent and personality, while Tina brings the vision and operations to life.
Their relationship is a blend of love, mutual support and a shared vision, allowing them to navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship while continuing to nurture their personal bond.
